For this particular project, I created a series of LinkedIn Pulse articles for leaders throughout Adtalem Global Education and our family of institutions. As a healthcare education company, many of these articles are focused on themes including health equity, increasing diversity in the healthcare workforce, fixing gaps in the healthcare workforce, supporting students who are Underrepresented in Medicine (URIM), and more.
The articles for Dr. Heidi Chumley, Dean of Ross University School of Medicine, were part of a 6-article series following the journey of underrepresented students from Black and Hispanic communities and highlighting the systemic barriers they faced through the process of applying to medical school, succeeding in their studies, graduating, entering residencies, becoming doctors and eventually healthcare leaders. These particular articles earned Dr. Chumley a series of articles for Becker's Healthcare Review, KevinMD.com, and podcast appearances for both.
